Safety

An accident is defined as “An undesired event that results in personal injury and/or property damage, no matter how slight.” Accordingly, we believe that investigation and control of all accidents will allow us to correct practices and conditions that historically have been common causes of recurring accidents. At RTC, total loss control is an effective management principle that promotes control and efficiency at all levels.

 

RTC has developed extensive Safety and Loss Control program that are administered through professional loss control field managers. Supplemented with outside skilled professionals, these field managers, who report directly to the Safety Officer, oversee all loss control programs including the following.

  • Accident reporting and follow-up

  • Liaison with our insurance company

  • Mandatory weekly safety meetings

  • Safety and Loss Control job site inspections

  • Hiring practices to insure a drug-free workplace

  • Equipment inspection

  • Motor Vehicle Inspections

  • First Aid and CPR instruction

  • DOT training and compliance

  • OSHA training and compliance
